A 19-year-old man was found on a Grand Rapids sidewalk Thursday evening, suffering from a gunshot wound to his back.
He was unable to move when officers arrived around 10 p.m. in the 1800 block of Nelson Avenue SE. He was awake and talking, but in a lot of pain, police said.
Police told 24 Hour News 8 that the victim may have been shot somewhere else and dropped off here.
"For someone to shoot somebody here and drop them on our street, that's just weird. Scary. Yeah, scary. Really scary," neighbor Rob Hartung told 24 Hour News 8.
The victim was taken to a hospital and the investigation continues.
