GTV NEWS: DRUG BUST... METH LAB IN PAW PAW

A man and woman were arrested following a drug bust at a residence in Van Buren County. 

The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit received information about illegal drug activity and a wanted fugitive at a home in the 41000 block of 56th Avenue in Paw Paw Township. 

Narcotics detectives conducted an investigation and were able to obtain a search warrant, which they executed around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. 

Terry Dewey, 42, and a 42-year-old woman were at the home at the time and taken into custody. 

He was arrested on many criminal bench warrants, and new charges of operating/maintaining a meth lab, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, felony firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, and maintaining a drug house. 

The woman was arrested on charges of operating/maintaining a meth lab, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, felony firearm, and maintaining a drug house. 

Located inside the residence was an active "one pot" methamphetamine lab reaction vessel; finished product meth; marijuana; a rifle; miscellaneous meth manufacturing items, components, materials, chemicals; and illegal drug paraphernalia. 

The report will be forwarded to the prosecutor's office for review of the new charges.
