One person died after police say he and another man were stabbed Saturday morning in Grand Rapids.
The stabbings happened near Division Ave. and Hall St. at around 3:30 a.m. Police say the stabbing stemmed from a fight and that both men were stabbed by the same suspect.
Police have identified the man who was killed by a stab wound to the chest as 22-year-old Marte L. Smith. Police say Smith died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Smith and the other victim, 26-year-old James Williams, were taken to the hospital by acquaintances. Williams' injuries were not life-threatening.

Police say the suspect in the stabbing attack is a black male who is about 6 feet tall, weighing about 150 to 160 pounds, who was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and a black fitted baseball hat.
