Two men are in jail, accused of stealing money from a charity poker event in Muskegon County.

Officers from the Norton Shores Police Department were dispatched at 1:20 a.m. Friday to Bob Hi Lanes, 2930 S. Getty St. regarding an armed robbery.

The suspects entered the charity poker room wearing masks over their faces, police said.

The suspects demanded money from representatives of the White Cloud Lions Club who were hosting a charity poker event, according to a news release.

The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of money and ran westward from the building.

One suspect was described as a Hispanic male having a short, stocky build, and wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt and a red bandanna over his face. He implied he had a weapon during the robbery but none was seen.

The second suspect was described as a light-skinned, black or Hispanic male, having a tall and skinny build, and wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt and a blue bandanna over his face. This suspect was armed with a handgun.

Officers from Norton Shores and Muskegon Heights were able to locate and apprehend the first suspect shortly after the crime. He was taken to the Muskegon County Jail on armed robbery charges.
Authorities received a tip, which led them to the second suspect in Muskegon Heights, and he was arrested on outstanding warrants. Formal charges are pending.
