2nd 28th Street hotel robbed in a week
Kentwood police are searching for the suspect involved in a robbery at a hotel.
Officers were dispatched about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday to the Ramada Plaza Hotel, 3333 28th St. SE, but the suspect had already fled the scene.
Police K-9 units searched the area.
A description of the suspect has not been released.
This robbery comes exactly one week after a clerk was held up at the Homewood Suites Hotel a few blocks from this Ramada Plaza Hotel about the same time.
It is not known if the two robberies are related.

Police in Grand Rapids are investigating a robbery at a hotel in which they say the suspect had a butcher knife.
Officers were dispatched about 4:45 a.m. Tuesday to Homewood Suites, 3920 Stahl Dr. SE
The suspect stole $200 from the front desk clerk and then ran from the scene.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Police K-9 units are trying to track down the suspect whose description hasn't been released yet.
