GTV NEWS: Gas station fight leads to shooting

One man was shot around 5 a.m. Saturday after a fight at a gas station.  Police told us a man in his 20s was shot while he was walking on Turner Avenue NW, not far from the Speedway in the 400 block of Leonard Street NW. 

The victim was shot in the finger.  Police told 24 Hour News 8 the man had his hands near his head when the shots were fired, and the bullet also grazed his head.  He suffered minor injuries. 

According to officers, the suspect fired two to four shots from inside a red or maroon GMC Jimmy.  No arrests have been made. 

The shooting allegedly started with a fight at the gas station.  According to police, the victim and another person walked out of the store when the SUV drove by and opened fire.
