Things got real crazy at the Mr. G's Entertainment Center in the Gresham neighborhood of South Side Chicago, during the late night/early morning hours of 1 a.m. on March 21st. The event in question was a launch party for the record label Heat Squad, which also held performances by Lil Mouse and King Samson.
According to Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro, shots were fired after a brawl broke out which was allegedly caused by a chair being thrown. One victim was a 19-year-old female and the rest were males between 21-36. Peter Nickeas of the Chicago Tribune reported finding shell casings both inside and outside of the club. Somehow, the camera inside of Mr. G's wasn't functioning properly so police have been left with no choice but to investigate surveillance footage from venues across the street from the club.
Both King Samson and Lil Mouse tweeted about the shooting, hoping that everyone injured recovers properly.
