BEEF: 50 CENT VS. FLOYDMAYWEATHER... THE WAR CONTINUES!

One thing that’s emerged from the back and forth bickering between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his former friend 50 Cent [Curtis Jackson] is that 50 Cent would like to match his fighter former two time featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (21-0, 16 KO’s) up with Mayweather Jr.

50 Cent said on his twitter “Gamboa wants to fight Floyd. I will put $20 million for the winner. He don’t like it that Floyd pulled out.”

The chances of the 5’5 1/2″ Gamboa getting a fight with Mayweather are nonexistent but you can’t blame 50 Cent for trying. It would really help out Gamboa’s career no matter what happened in the fight with Mayweather because he would get his biggest payday of his career. Gamboa hasn’t fought in over a year and is scheduled to be fighting on the Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez IV undercard on December 8th against Miguel Beltran Jr. (21-2, 17 KO’s) in a nothing fight in Las Vegas, Nevada. It would be nice if Mayweather did fight the little Gamboa but it wouldn’t be a good fight because Gamboa struggled to beat the likes of Orlando Salido last year and Mayweather would clean up a fighter like Salido.

If Mayweather was interested in a nice easy stay busy fight it wouldn’t be bad for him to take the Gamboa fight, but it would be one of those fights were Mayweather would be the only draw. Gamboa has a tiny fan base in the U.S and it would be pointless from a financial standpoint for Mayweather to
