A suspect who was involved in a shootout with a Grand Rapids police officer on Friday morning has been arraigned in connection to the incident.
17-year-old Quashon Deonte Smith was arraigned on Dec. 5 on charges of felonious assault, felony firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and receiving and concealing a stolen firearm.

He will be tried as an adult.
Smith's bond was set at $250,00 cash or surety. He will have to wear a GPS tether if released.
Smith allegedly pointed a weapon at one of a pair of GRPD officers who had approached him and a group of men who matched the description of suspects from a home burglary in the area Friday morning.
The officer returned fire, but no one was hit or injured.
Smith's preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 14 at 8:30 a.m.
