Felicia "Snoop" Pearson pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of conspiracy to distribute heroin in Baltimore today. Pearson played the character "Snoop" on HBO's 'The Wire' - and she was one of 64 people arrested and charged back in March for drug charges.
Pearson said through a representative that she thought she was unfairly "targeted [by police] not only because of her portrayal of the memorable character 'Snoop' on HBO's critically acclaimed series 'The Wire' but also because of where she is from in Baltimore."
Pearson received a "seven-year sentence with credit for time served" and "three years of supervised probation with provisions for out-of-state travel for work.
