GUNRULE NATIVE A.N.T. SIGNS TO GOOMBA MUSIC

Goomba Music has signed Michigan based rapper/producer Anthony “A.N.T. Lazar and the Trump Tight Music Group to a long term record deal. They are currently wrapping up production on their Goomba Music debut, which is tentatively set for a March 26, 2013 worldwide release date.
A.N.T. was born July 20 in Holland, Michigan. His family moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan at an early age. Lazar’s stage name was a natural choice; being a childhood nickname that was widely used by friends and family. He grew up the eldest of four and inspired by Michael Jackson, he began performing at the age of 11. Though A.N.T. loved entertaining since he was a child, he became more serious and focused on creating music after seeing artists like Tupac and Jay-Z achieve success and fame.
A.N.T. caught his first break when he was discovered at a freestyle competition by Amiracle Records that provided him with studio time and helped him promote his shows. They produced a compilation album, The Rebirth, which garnered A.N.T. instant attention. After moving on from Amiracle Records, A.N.T. single-handedly developed his own record label, (T.T.M.G.) Trump Tight Music Group.
A.N.T., instant attention from the streets…
After branching out on his own, A.N.T. worked tirelessly to make a name for himself in the hip hop circuits. He frequently performs at clubs spanning the Midwest, and has several opening performances under his belt for well-known artists such as Ja Rule, Gorilla Zoe, Young Buck, Young Dro, Slim Dunkin (R.I.P.), Jon Conner, Travis Porter, Manio, E-40 and Snoop Dogg. His first two albums, My Everything & Ain’t No Tellin, fueled the buzz surrounding Lazar, not only as a rapper but also as a producer.

#RIP JOSHUA "JAYLOUD" DAVIS

Another youth has been slain in Chicago's mean streets.  18-year-old Joshua "JayLoud" Davis, the best friend of previously slain Chicago rapper Lil Jojo, was shot and killed on Christmas day.  Around 11:30pm JayLoud exited a city bus and wound up getting into an altercation with a group of men because he was wearing a sweatshirt that honored the life of his friend Lil Jojo.  The altercation resulted in him being gunned down.
JayLoud's 24-year-old sister commented on his tragic death.
"He was killed because he was wearing a hoodie and getting off the bus.  He was a great boy. He was only a baby."

SAY WORD: KAT WILLIAMS OWES IRS $4MILLION

1227_katt_williams_01
Slap-happy Katt Williams better learn to take it like he gives it -- because the IRS just walloped the comedian with an astronomical tax lien ... totaling over $4 MILLION.

Uncle Sam filed the lien against Williams, claiming the comedian failed to pay $3.2 million in taxes in 2008 ... and also bailed on another $829,352 in 2009.

It's not the first time Williams has been accused of stiffing the Feds -- back in 2010 the IRS filed another tax lien against the comedian totaling $284,000 ... mere pennies compared to the new bill.

It's the latest misfortune to befall Katt in the last few months -- he's been arrested several times, he's facing a bunch of nasty lawsuits, and his whole life is kinda going haywire.

GTV NEWS: JAILED SOCIAL WORKER SPEAKS OUT...

LaRue Ford, a former social worker locked up for swearing in a court clerk's office, said she thought court workers were joking when they ordered her before the judge.

"I thought it was a joke," the 49-year-old woman told 24 Hour News 8 in a phone interview from the Berrien County Jail, where she has been locked up for nine days.

"I thought I was on a hidden camera. I really thought it was a joke. I just didn't believe what was happening to me."

Then, she was taken to the jail in St. Joseph and strip-searched, she said.

"It was disgraceful, embarrassment, and they make you feel like I was a criminal," said Ford, who has no criminal record. "They were judging me before they even know me."

Ford is charged with contempt of court, a misdemeanor, for what records call: "profanity in the clerk's office" in Niles.

She is claiming racism. She is black; the judge is white.

"I think it's because the color of my skin," she said.

John Targowski, an attorney working with the ACLU, met with LaRue Thursday in jail. He said he hoped to file a motion on Friday to ask that the case be dismissed. LaRue said she is hoping the case is assigned to a different judge.

The NAACP of Kalamazoo says it also will fight for her freedom -- and may ask the state NAACP office to help investigate Ford's claim of racism.

"Why her?" asked Carey Whitfield, of the NAACP Kalamazoo office. "I need to understand why he chose her. It's a matter of us determining whether or not this was a racial intent."

Whitfield was one of two NAACP members who sat in on Ford's most recent court hearing on Dec. 18. The
other was retired Kalamazoo police detective Roy Spencer.

"They don't lynch people like they used to, but there's other things you can do to people that feels like
they got lynched," Spencer said. "She's more like a high-tech lynching."

Court officials said Judge Dennis Wiley , who ordered the arrest, would not comment on a pending case.

Ford said she won't plead guilty. "Because I'm not guilty. I didn't do anything wrong."

She said she grew frustrated after spending weeks trying to clear up an old traffic ticket in Berrien County District Court in Niles. The ticket was keeping her from getting a license to drive a truck in Indiana, she said.

She said she paid $455, including $10 to expedite the process, but that Indiana told her it still wasn't
cleared up.

Then, on Dec. 4, she said, she drove three hours to the courthouse in Niles.

"She didn't want to help me," she said of a court clerk. "She was nasty to me."

Finally, she said, a clerk supervisor discovered the problem: a $50 reinstatement fee. The clerks, she said,
refused to apply the $10 fee she had paid to expedite the case.

"I was actually leaving out of the clerk's office, and I was muttering to myself, not towards anyone, and I
guess they overheard what I said," Ford said.

When she returned to pay the $50, she was ordered into court, where Judge Wiley charged her with contempt.

She was released the next day on 10% of a $5,000 bond, but then was ordered back to jail on Dec. 18. Her attorneys say it's because she doesn't have a permanent address.

Instead of spending Christmas with family, she spent it in jail.

"I can't even describe it," she said. "It was the worst Christmas ever. I can't even describe it how alone I felt. I would have never dreamed of being in a cell, a cold cell. It was a very sad time for me."

Still, she said, she believes justice will prevail.

"I believe in justice. Justice and God will prevail," she said.

FIRST WEEK NUMBERS: T.I. [HEAVY WEIGHS THE HEAD] x CHIEF KEEF [FINALLY RICH]

T.I.’s Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head hits that No. 2 spot in Billboard charts making it his eighth top 10 debut. The album sold about 179,000 units its first week. Tip shows his career is in no trouble putting up very strong first week numbers.
Chief Keef also charted this week at #27 with his debut Finally Rich album moving 50,000 units. Kind of a disappointment for such a huge buzz he’s had. Then again we didn’t even know Finally Rich would be in stores until sometime in mid-late November.

GTV NEWS: GAS PRICES WILL GO UP... NEXT FEW MONTHS

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - 2013 could be "another ugly year at the pump," said GasBuddy analyst Patrick DeHaan Wednesday afternoon.

In a conversation with 24 Hour News 8, DeHaan said gas prices will start to go higher in February and March, peaking in April and May and again in August.

There will be price "volatility in the Great Lakes (region) in the spring," he said. But he looked at retail sales as an indicator. If people are willing to spend now, they'll spend down the road, regardless of the price.

But just like this month, when prices in Caledonia dipped below $3 per gallon, DeHaan said "prices will come back down at the end of next year."
